Level 1

Samba dance is a vibrant, energetic style originating from Brazil and famous from the Rio carnival.

Our beginner Samba classes are progressive building up on the material each week. You can expect to come out sweating and of course, with a big smile on your face!

*Note: This is a solo dance style, not danced with a partner.

Instructors

  • Marketa

    Marketa began dancing and performing at a very young age. She fell in love with Samba through her Capoeira training and learned from the best teachers in London and in Brazil.

    She loves to teach and see the joy and confidence Samba can bring to people, especially introducing a complete beginner to this wonderful dance, helping them loose their inhibitions and bring out their inner carnival queen!

  • Annabelle

    Annabelle is a qualified dance teacher and holds a diploma in dance teaching from Laban.

    She has a bubbly and fun personality and is experienced in teaching a large variety of styles such as Salsa, Bachata, Samba, Zouk, Swing, Ballroom, Street dance, Diva dance and Wedding dance.

  • What to wear in a Samba dance class?

    Soft, comfortable clothing such as leggings and a top of your choice. Jazz shoes, barefoot or light (not chunky) trainers are suitable in terms of footwear.
