Beginners Belly Dancing Classes

Level 1

Belly dancing is a beautiful form of dance, cherishing the feminity and developing body isolations and self-expression. It is not only enjoyable to watch but taking belly dancing classes has also numerous health benefits such as improved posture, rhythm, and coordination, low-impact muscle toning to name just a few.

Our beginners belly dancing classes are structured to gradually build up the foundations necessary to execute all movements correctly and work towards learning a longer piece of choreography specific for each course.

The belly dance choreography's goal is to put everything you are learning into context, making your classes an enjoyable and satisfactory experience.

FAQs

  • What to wear in a Belly dance class?

Loose, comfortable clothing is key. We recommend leggings, a short top, not necessarily showing your belly if you do not want to, and last but not least a coin belt or a scarf to wrap around your hips. This is important as it helps accentuate your movements and see if you are doing them correctly. We also sell coin belts so please ask your teacher before the class starts. All our venues have changing rooms which you can use before and after class.
