Have you always wanted to waltz but thought the initial step was too daunting? Do you feel inspired by the performances of the celebrities on Strictly Come Dancing?
With our Ballroom and Latin Taster lessons you will be in good hands. You will cover two of the standard Ballroom dances (Waltz and Tango) and two of the Latin styles (Cha-cha and Jive) and is a fun way to experience the dances in action. This is also a great opportunity to get a feel of what joining one of our courses would be like and discuss with one of our Ballroom dance teachers any questions you might have prior to signing up for one of our longer programs.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the class last night! Our teacher was fantastic! He really knew how to connect with the group and maximise our understanding of the material. A brilliant teacher. The class was everything we were expecting and more.

FAQs
-
What can I expect from a taster ballroom dance class?
Our taster sessions are designed to give you a "taster" of the full experience. You’ll join the first week of a new course, meet your instructor, and learn your first basic steps. It’s the perfect way to experience our ballroom dance classes firsthand before committing to a full term.
-
Is the taster suitable for someone who has never danced before?
Absolutely. Most people attending our ballroom dance classes for a taster are absolute beginners. We keep the atmosphere relaxed and fun, focusing on simple footwork and rhythm so you can get a feel for the "Dancebuzz" teaching methodology without any pressure.
-
I don’t have a partner—can I still book a taster?
Yes! You do not need to bring a partner to join our ballroom dance classes. Although there are many couples who join our courses, we rotate partners throughout the session, which is a great way to meet the other students you’ll be dancing with if you decide to sign up for the full course.
-
What happens if I decide to join the full course after my taster?
If you enjoy your taster (and we’re sure you will!), you can sign up for the remainder of the course right after the class. This ensures you keep your spot in that specific time and location as you continue your ballroom dance classes journey.
-
Who are the instructors for the taster classes?
You will be taught by the same high-level professionals who lead our full courses. Our team includes dancers who have appeared on Strictly Come Dancing and other global TV programs, ensuring that even in a single taster, you are receiving world-class instruction in ballroom dance classes.
-
What should I wear for my taster session?
Comfort is key! Wear smart-casual clothing and shoes with a smooth sole that allows you to turn easily. Since ballroom dance classes involve close contact, many of our students like to bring a fresh top to change into, especially if they are coming straight from a day at the office.
-
Where are the taster ballroom dance classes located?
We offer taster spots at all our central London venues, including Euston, Kings Cross, Westminster, Marble Arch, and Baker Street. When you select a taster date from our booking table, the specific venue details will be clearly listed.
-
Can I book more than one taster class?
The taster is intended as a one-off introduction to our ballroom dance classes syllabus. Once you’ve experienced the taster, the best next step is to join the full progressive course so you can start building on your skills week-by-week.
-
Do I need to book in advance, or can I just show up?
All taster spots must be booked in advance via our website. Our ballroom dance classes are very popular and often sell out, so we cannot accommodate walk-ins on the night.
-
Why should I choose a taster instead of a drop-in?
Unlike a standard drop-in, our taster places you inside a structured, progressive environment. You’ll see exactly how our ballroom dance classes build your confidence and skills from the ground up, giving you a realistic preview of what you'll achieve by the end of the term.
-
What is your cancellation policy?
Course and class fees are non-refundable. When you make a booking, you commit to attending on the selected date booked. For more details on our policies, please see our full Terms & Conditions here.
