Wedding Dance Lessons & Classes

All

The first wedding dance is one of the most memorable moments of your wedding. It also is a great opportunity to discover the enjoyment of dancing together with your partner, either just learning to dance as a couple or preparing a bespoke wedding dance choreography for your special day.

Based on our extensive experience, we have found that a few 1-2-1 lessons before your wedding are typically not enough practice to make you look natural dancing with your partner. This is because the first important thing before having a bespoke choreographed dance is to learn to dance as a couple .

Our group beginners Ballroom & Latin dance courses are a great choice as they will help both your and your partner learn rhythm, coordination and the basics of dancing together in four different dances - the waltz, the tango, the jive and the cha-cha. Following that you may or may not choose to have some 1-2-1 sessions before your big day.

Check out the schedule for our upcoming group beginner ballroom & latin dance courses for beginners below.

FAQs

  • We don't want a choreographed dance, just a few simple moves to get by with. How many lessons should we book?

We recommend a minimum of 3 hours worth of lessons to make you look natural and feel comfortable dancing together. Contrary to what many people think, freestyling is actually a lot harder than having a simple sequence of moves to remember which can take the stress of the first dance away. We recommend freestyle for people with previous dance experience who just want some ideas to the song they have chosen but are generally comfortable with rhythm and dancing together as a couple.
