FAQs

  • What is the focus of the Street Dance Improver level?

At the improver level, we move beyond the basics of "what" to do and focus on the "how." Our improver street dance classes are designed to help you develop attitude, sharpness, and performance quality. We focus on more intricate choreography, faster transitions, and refined "styling" so you look like a performer, not just a student.

  • Am I ready for the Improver level?

We recommend joining our Improver street dance courses if you have been dancing regularly for at least a year in our beginner classes. You should be comfortable with:

Rhythm: Consistently hitting the beat without watching others.

Coordination: Managing body isolations, armwork and footwork simultaneously.

Choreography: Having the stamina and memory to pick up longer routines at a moderate pace.

  • How do these classes differ from the Beginner course?

While Beginner classes focus on "grooves" and foundational steps, the Improver street dance lessons are structured progressively to challenge your technique. You will work on:

Sharpness: Making every move intentional and crisp.

Performance: Developing the "attitude" and presence needed for music-video-style choreography.

Musicality: Learning to dance to the "layers" in the music (beats, lyrics, and sub-bass).

  • How long should I stay in the Improver level?

Just like our other levels, we expect students to remain in Improver Street Dance for several terms. Because each course features a different syllabus and fresh choreography, you will never get bored. Staying at this level for a year or more allows you to polish your moves and build the "coolness" and flow that defines a great street dancer.

  • What happens if I find the routines too challenging?

Don't worry—even in our London street dance classes, every student has "off days." Our instructors are experts at layering the choreography. They will teach the base move first and then add the "styling" or "flair," allowing you to work at the intensity that feels right for you. If you feel you’ve moved up too soon, we can always help you switch back to a beginner session to regain your confidence.

  • What should I wear for Level 2?

The dress code remains the same: comfort and style!

Clothing: Loose-fitting streetwear or athletic gear that lets you move and sweat.

Footwear: Supportive trainers are essential as the footwork becomes faster and more complex at this level.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

Course fees are non-refundable. Because we run progressive courses with limited spaces, your booking secures your spot for the entire duration of the term. For more details on our policies, please see our full Terms & Conditions here.
