I really liked the class and I’ll join the beginner course. I came to the taster lesson just to see how it is because I didn’t know anything about salsa and I’m not a good dancer at all! The teacher was very clear and I can see that everything is explained, from the basic steps so I am sure it will be fine!

FAQs
-
What is a Salsa Taster class?
A taster session is a single, low-pressure way to experience our salsa classes in London before committing to a full course. You’ll join a real beginner group, learn the basic steps, and get a feel for the "happy vibes" of our studio. It’s perfect if you're curious about Salsa but want to try it out first!
-
I’ve never danced before—is a taster right for me?
Absolutely. Our taster sessions are specifically designed for absolute beginners. Whether you have "two left feet" or have just had a few lessons in the past, this class will allow you to experience the dance, meet our expert instructors, and see how our teaching methodology works.
-
Do I need to book in advance for salsa classes in London?
Yes. Because we keep our class sizes balanced and comfortable, all taster spots must be booked in advance through our website. Our salsa classes in London are very popular, and we cannot guarantee space for walk-ins on the night.
-
Can I come to a taster session without a partner?
Yes! Salsa is a social dance, and the majority of our students arrive solo. We rotate partners throughout the class, so you’ll be introduced to plenty of new people. It’s a great way to meet the group you’ll be learning with if you decide to join the full course.
-
What should I wear for my first salsa taster?
Wear something comfortable and breathable—Salsa is a bit of a workout!
Clothing: Smart-casual is fine.
Shoes: Avoid heavy trainers with lots of grip; shoes with a smooth sole (leather or hard plastic) are best so you can turn easily.
Pro-Tip: Since you'll be in close contact with others, many students like to bring a fresh top to change into, especially if they’re coming straight from the office.
-
Where are the taster classes located?
We host our salsa classes in London at several premium, central locations: Westminster, Euston, Kings Cross, Oxford Circus, and the Great Portland Street. When you book your taster, you’ll be able to select the most convenient venue for your schedule.
-
Will I learn a full routine in one taster class?
Yes, you will learn the fundamental basic steps, a right turn and some variations of those as well as how to connect with a partner. While you won't be a pro in one hour, you’ll leave with enough confidence to understand the rhythm and decide if you want to continue your journey into our full salsa classes in London.
-
Can I ask the instructor questions during the taster?
Of course! The taster is your time to "interview" us. Our instructors are there to answer any questions you have about the syllabus, the different levels, or even what music to listen to. We want you to feel 100% comfortable before you sign up for a full course.
-
What happens after the taster session?
If you love the energy and the music (and we think you will!), you can sign up for the remainder of the beginner course immediately after the class. This ensures you secure your spot and can continue progressing with the same group of friends!
-
What is your cancellation policy?
Course fees are non-refundable. When you make a booking, you commit to attending on the selected date booked. For more details on our policies, please see our full Terms & Conditions here.
